Day 107: Rough patch

Well, Little B's body is telling us, and him, that chemo stinks! We've had a rough few days with the little guy, in all honesty. He's just not feeling well, tiring more easily, and is visible nauseated. We've gone from no vomits to three yesterday and two today.

Yesterday he had a fever of 100.8 after his nap and was very lethargic. A few tense calls to the oncology fellow at Doernbechers were made. Some kids get vincristine-induced fevers, which are not pleasant but go away relatively quickly and without too much in terms of overall problems. The scarier proposition is if he has an infection, which is a three-day stint at Doernbechers on IV antibiotics. It didn't seem that he had an infection of any sort, so that's good In any case, the fever lasted a good 12 hours and then burned itself out. Hopefully the little man feels better tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
