Quick Update

Little B is continuing to do well. We are on a two-week break from chemo, which is always lovely.

Little B is becoming such a very big boy. The first surprise is that Little B is pretty much potty trained! He is doing remarkably well – he started potty training a week ago Monday, and he has had no pee pee accidents for about five days. He doesn’t wet during his nap or at night (and hasn’t for three days). We are still working on the poo thing, but hopefully he figures that out soon.



In addition, we are working on re-vamping our sleeping debacle. The boys had rather become unbearable in their refusal to go to bed and get to sleep. Well, I became the bad cop and set some pretty realistic, but inflexible expectations for sleeping behavior (that is, get in bed, be quiet, and go to sleep -- shocking, I know). Happily, for the past four nights, the boys have gone to sleep on their own (no parents sitting with them until 10:00 pm). And they are falling asleep within 20 minutes of being put to bed, which is huge, huge, huge for us. We’re working on renovating the boys’ bedroom with new bunk beds, dressers (they are badly needed), and artwork. I hope that gets finished up this weekend. We are putting all the toys down in the toy room, to try and emphasize that bedrooms are for sleeping in (what a novel idea!). In any case, hopefully things continue to get better soon on that front.


Big A is delighting me with his empathy and ability to make his brother smile. He is such a sweet soul.
