May 20: Little B looovves McDonalds
So Little B went on an adventure today with Mimi and Hea -- to McDonalds, for lunch! He didn't really eat at all yesterday, so we were a bit concerned. Well, apparently we haven't been feeding the kids the right things. He likes the cheeseburgers. And fries (god help us!). And the strawberry milkshakes. Seriously? Oh, absolutely. He apparently munched a good 2/3rds of a cheeseburger, a goodly portion of fries, and quite a bit of milkshake. Well that will teach me for trying the hippy-dippy organic yogurt! The kid needs his beef.
Well, easy enough to get the kid what he wants. We're going to have a weekly standing date with a fast food joint, and also try to get out of the house more so that he can have some ... diversions while eating. He seems to like diversions while eating, as opposed to focusing on eating.
A is doing great. He's having a ball at preschool. It's amazing how he hits a really nice stride about a month before school gets out. Well, this summer he's going to take T-ball, swimming, and soccer. We also have weekly play dates scheduled for him and his preschool classmates.
A gets a little miffed about us focusing on B's eating, but at the same time, he seems to be doing pretty well with his eating. We're still no where close to what I would consider a "normal" range of food for A, but whatever. I'm hoping that when he becomes a teen and starts eating like a horse he'll branch out a bit. Here's to hoping. :-)
