August 14: Hot, hot, hot!
Today was hot! And with the heat comes grumpy, grumpy Weeberts. So we decided to head over to IKEA and enjoy their air conditioning (and potentially pick up a set of bunk beds). Well, the Weebert boys staged a slight coup about mid-way through the store, so we ended up with a stuffed bulldog for Little B and some bar stool pads... (A decided that he wanted to go elsewhere for a special toy.) We then beat a hasty retreat to Red Robin. As we walked into Red Robin, A started looking around rather frantically. "What are you doing, buddy?" I asked him. "Where are Mimi and Hea?" he asked. Apparently, it's not Red Robin without the Mimi and the Hea. I let him know that Mimi and Hea wouldn't be hanging out with us for lunch. He responded, "Well, are you sure that this is Red Robin, then?" The plot thickens...
After we got home, A watched a movie, and Little B puttered about the house. A then remembered that he needed a new toy, so G, Little B, and A all went to Freddies to find the elusive toy. I worked on dinner.
A found a racing motorcycle thing, which I have to say is better than I thought he'd end up with. It was actually a good bit of fun.
In any case, we're getting ready to gear up for another few hot days. I have to say, as a general matter, we're sort of ready for fall to kick in.
