August 20: Testing, 1, 2... Testing ...
So this week was one where we continued to work on our new normal. Happily enough, Little B gained 3.5 ounces this week! Good job, little man! And while we're at it, good job rest of the Weebert clan, and Mimi and Hea for getting the kid's meals down him (and keep them down), as well as deal with vitamins and whatnot. We're getting there.
Little B had a few tests this week, and next week has a few more, but after that I am hopeful that the whirlwind visits to the area's medical facilities will slow down a bit. Besides the medical hoopla, Little B has been walking like a superstar. Also, his communication skills have just expanded like mad. He is now telling us to "wait" and that he's full (by patting his belly -- it is the cutest thing!). He continues in his obsessions with keys, shoes, and balloons. All very adorable.
A finished up both soccer and t-ball this week. He seems to be a rather promising athlete (causing me to wonder, once again, if he is my son!). We have a few more weeks of swimming, which I think we will be continuing on with. He's still harboring hopes of becoming a surfer, so we'll push swimming lessons while he's interested.
A has also been a little moody this week. I think he's missing his friends, so we're going to work on getting him out a little more this next week. We have a birthday party this weekend with his preschool friends, so that is good.
Other than the birthday party, a friend is having a "Porkfest" party (which I still can't believe I agreed to attend), and we're going to work on our backyard. We have a "corner of disrepute" that currently houses our compost bins and whatnot. It really just needs to be cleaned up, maybe with some pavers and a bit of weed cloth to really make it worthwhile. I think we might also even try a "camp out" -- we'll set up a tent, make some hot dogs and roast marshmallows. It is unlikely that anyone will even attempt to sleep in the tent, but it should be fun to play in.
In any case, thus ends the week of the Weeberts. :-)
