November 14: Chilly, nice day
We woke up and decided that the day required an adventure. After breakfast, we bundled up and headed out for the zoo. We took the long route so that B could get a little extra sleep. He needed a little extra snooze. The zoo was excellent, as usual. It's orangutan awareness week, so we spent some time hanging out with the primates today. We also had a great time hanging out in the Predators of the Serengetti exhibit. It is such an outstanding project. I can't wait for our family to come out and see it as well!
We came home and had leftovers for lunch. B was a bit fussy, so the two of us settled in for a bit of a nap. When we woke up, A was complaining of an ear ache, so I got him a bit of Tylenol and put him on the heating pad. It's amazing how the heating pad helps earaches! We then played a few games of Candy Land. A beating mommy soundly at a few games of Candy Land also helped his perspective! :-)
For dinner, we went to Cornelius Pass Roadhouse with our friend Keith for dinner. A had corn dog circles (a corn dog cut in circles) and tater tots. Delish!
A has been sounding out words like mad lately. He's been having a great time with language, which I love. We're doing a lot of "Preschool Pages", which has been fun, as well.
Our new rule: No swords at the dinner table or the lunch counter. Please make a note of it!
