November 10: Rain, Rain, Here to Stay...
Today was quite lovely. This morning, I made Hea's birthday cake and this evening's dinner. Hea popped in and watched B while I worked... surprising amount of client activity lately, which is excellent.
B is doing pretty well, but gnawing like crazy. Our current thinking is that he's got two teeth coming in. One has clearly broken through, and another one seems to be just starting to poke through. He's also doing this thing where he gets a good bit of food in his mouth and then raspberries it out. Very, very funny, but verrrry messy.
A continued to be concerned that Hea wouldn't share her birthday cake with him. He was sure to confirm with her that she would be sharing as soon as he got home.
On the way home from school, A and I dropped by QFC to pick up flowers for Hea. A was very, very concerned about the selection we made, and decided that Hea needed purple flowers. He started with alstromerias, then thought that African violets would do the trick, and then settled on yellow mums. I'm not sure why, but yellow mums we carted home.
A helped me to frost Hea's cake after a quick kitty-cat nap. And ate enough icing to compensate for later if Hea ended up not sharing.
Dinner was green bean casserole, whole wheat biscuits, and, of course, carrot cake. We didn't take a walk because it was down pouring. I went to a homeowners' association meeting, and G manned the fort with the boys. B is having a lot of troubles sleeping tonight so far... not pretty.
