November 20: The calm before the storm...

We're soooo excited! TT and Adam and Baby P are going to arrive tomorrow! Explaining time to A is a Sisyphean task. We've tried calendars, counting sleeps (including and excluding naps), and just explaining. At last tomorrow they're going to show up, so I can stop explaining!!! And joy of joys, A is going to get to go to the airport with Hea to pick them up. How exciting! We will have to continue counting down to ReeRee, R, and M, but we'll soldier through.

Cayenne got a treat today. We had a "mobile groomer" come to the house and give her a grooming. She looks so much better. The guy specializes in elderly dogs, and he did a really nice job.

A is starting to read "BOB" books. We're having a lot of fun with them. We also are reading a history book, which is great. While it is a history book that starts essentially with the "big bang", he immediately focused on the 1000 to 1500 period in Europe (think: knights, sword fighting and archery). I somehow got talked into making a bow and arrow set with A tomorrow using paper and paste. I'm not exactly sure how that's going to work out...

Poor little B is either teething anew or having some problems with the ones that have already broken through. He is gnawing on *everything* madly. I almost think we should post a sign on the door warning folks who enter that they risk a rather vicious gnawing from a cranky six-month old. Poor little man. We're giving him frozen teethers and apples in a net teether to let him chew on. I was thinking about getting him some mango to try in the teether. Yum-o!

B is such a good baby. He's just so easy going and enjoys playing with his toys or even just watching what people are doing. We're so lucky!
