February 6: Sunday, Sunday...
So today was full of stuff! A spent the night with Mimi and Hea, and apparently had a pretty hard night with a bad cough. He also had a birthday party this morning at 9:30 am for his friend Alara.
B and I drove over to pick A up, and B actually stayed with Mimi and Hea while A and I drove to the party (complicated enough, yet?). Interestingly, A was pretty nervous about leaving B at Mimi and Hea's. I'm not sure if it was because he didn't want to leave B behind, or if it was because he didn't want B at Mimi and Hea's. Interesting either way! :-) The party was awesome, and very tiring for A. When we got home (cake at 11 am! A loved it!), we had lunch, and A played a little bit and worked on his diorama for preschool (Humboldt penguins are the topic!).
The diorama turned out pretty well. Humboldts nest on rocky shores in northern Chile and southern Peru, so we used some acrylic paints and made water (white, light blue and dark blue) -- A swirled them all around. He's doing a really incredible job painting lately. Then we added small rocks and sand on top of that. It looks pretty good.
A took a *huge* nap with G (actually, they both took a big nap). B went down soon after they did. I got a remarkable amount of cleaning done. I also emailed a lot of A's friends to set up play dates for the rest of the month. I can't believe the social planning required for four-year olds. Wow.
I posted three videos on Facebook of the boys. Pretty funny stuff.
