Adventure Academy... Well?

The boys have decided that they want to have an "adventure every day this summer." Well, at least they aim high. To that end, we have decided to call ourselves the "Bethany Adventure Academy" and have started a blog (http://bethanyadventureacademy.blogspot.com). The boys are actually authoring the blog, with me providing technical support, typing services, and photography services. I will be honest and say that it is a bit of a push to get Big A thinking about writing every day, as well as composing his thoughts.

We're doing code breaking, math, reading and handwriting this summer. Big A is enjoying the verbal math and code breaking. I only hope I'm not creating a monster with the codes and cipher breaking. That could get wonky.

This week we did pretty well with the "adventures." On Tuesday we went to the Children's Museum. The boys did great, and we spent a good part of our time in the clay room. On Wednesday, we headed to the zoo and then to Little B's chemo. On Thursday, the boys were a little tired of running about, so we spent a good portion of our day at the duck pond. This morning we went to OMSI and had a grand time.

We're getting excited that our summer guests will start arriving on Wednesday. We're really looking forward to adventuring with Grandma Weebert and our cousins Kyle and Kendra!
