January 4: PM Edition -- More silly fun
We had an interesting day today. When A got home from preschool, we took naps, and then had a great time making lentil soup and beer bread. A was a "souper" helper and cut celery. G reached new lows in our attempts to get A to try new things -- he convinced A that pureed lentil soup is actually "dipping sauce". A had bread with butter, "dipping sauce", three slices of turkey bacon, and Veggie Booty (which is kale and spinach-flavored puffs--actually rather tasty).
After dinner, we played a few games of "Hi Ho Cherry-O"... I won one game, and A (thankfully) won another. We have been working hard lately to understand sportsmanship, and that it's OK to not win (NOT "to lose", please note!).
A and I had some fun working on preschool pages -- this week's letter is "O". He's doing so well on his penmanship and holding his pen/pencil properly. Earlier this year, it would take us three days to get a packet of preschool pages done. Today it took us about 20 minutes. Amazing.
Unfortunately, the person we had hired to nanny for Baby B sent me an email tonight, indicating that she wouldn't be able to nanny for us. Thank goodness that Mimi and Hea will be able to help out. They are my heroes!
