March 12: Long week. I'm going to bed.
It has been a long week. In highlights:
1. B is now an accomplished crawler. And, he climbs stairs. Dear lord. If the house gets too quiet, there's a 98% chance B is climbing stairs.
2. A is in love with a new show called "Rescue Heroes." He loves, loves, loves it. However, it is so freaking annoying that G and I want to gouge our eyes and ears out every time we have to watch it with him. And it's all he wants to do for creative play. So far from reality, and yet all A wants to do when he grows up is to be a Rescue Hero.
3. B is now in a solid habit of the 5 am wake-up time. Unfortunately, it means 1.5 less hours of sleep for me a night. Which is killing me.
4. A did a penguin report a number of weeks ago that I think I talked about. On Wednesday, we went to an open house at his school where they showcased the kids' work. It was very cool. He also made a paper mache penguin as well. He did an outstanding job with it!
5. This week has been cold, cold, cold and rainy. Very hard to believe that just a week ago it was beautiful.
6. I'm getting ready to teach a tax class, and am very excited about it! Just got the instructors' manual today. It will be such a help!
7. Tomorrow we're going swimming at a community pool with some friends. So exciting. A just got a snorkel, mask and fins (G is a super-hero dad for that one!), and we're going to try out the snorkel and mask, as well. This should be interesting, as tonight when A was taking a bubble bath, he somehow got bubbles all throughout his snorkel... ;-)
