September 13: ROAR!

Today we went to the Oregon Zoo and saw the new Predators of the Serengeti Exhibit. It was AWESOME! It's a 2.5 acre exhibit, but it feels amazingly spacious. There are lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, huge snakes... wow. Not only are the animals amazing, but the exhibit itself is, too. The majority of the viewing areas are enclosed, which will be so wonderful when the rainy Pacific Northwest winters come. Also, there are a ton of things for little monster boys to climb on, as well -- a jeep, a climbing wall-type-thing, and a little "inside the exhibit" dome (so cool!). Lots of learning exhibits for inquisitive moms and dads. We are going to be spending a lot of time at this exhibit (if for no other reason than I'm dragging them!). The next exhibit I can't wait to see: The Red Ape Reserve. I'm not sure when it's going to open, but rest assured we'll be there on the opening weekend!

When we got home, G mowed the lawn and then went to band practice. A and I went ahead and worked a bit more on his art project. We just need to get hangers... so happy with how all of our projects have turned out, lately! We also made some special surprises for aunties, so hopefully they will like them. We then made corn muffins, and B hung out in his bouncy chair, overseeing production.

B has had a really hard time sleeping lately, getting up every 90 minutes or so. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's starting to impact my daily functioning and memory (or so I've been told... by someone... I'm not remembering who, exactly, at this moment, come to think of it...). Oh well, hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.
